I took my wife and children to this pub. The food was fine. In all honesty. The owner was so rude I would never dream of going back having spoken to others. This seems to be the norm

So support the locals......got there tonight one table of 6 in this was 5.40pm. We were given a table drinks orders taken and then our order..Great....starters came out..lovely..just half way through starter the able of 6 were asked if they wanted to order as they had a couple of big tables due in..fab. Starters finished...waited....waited...waited. the table of 6 get all there meals, we are still waiting(only 2 of us) ask 5he waitress we have been waiting ages and that table have got there meals??? Answer you had a starter???no sorry for your wait...couldn't look us in the eye. Meal eventually came out 2 mixed grills. Lamb chops blood running out loads of fat....vile steak, not best quality. No one at any point came and asked if our meals were OK? Go and pay and I believe the owners took our payment, again, never asked if our meal was OK???? Where is the customer service??? I work with customers everyday....I would never treat the customers like this!!!! Such a shame, a local independent pb have lost our support and remember 1 bad customer tells at least 10 other people....power of word. Also 2 other meals sent back from another customer whilst we were there

Never been here before .went for end of life / birthday meal. Staff was lovely and friendly. Food was great. Will say only disappointment was prawn cocktail looked amazing but no flavour off the prawns , obviously defrost under running water totally flavourless. Warm bread and sauce lovely. Will be back ..

Enjoyed a traditional Sunday lunch today with delicious cheese cake. Everything tasted homemade using fresh ingredients. Good old fashioned welcome and pub atmosphere. Friendly staff who were all warm and accommodating.

we have used this pub for many years and went for a meal last night... ordered 2 mixed grills, one with peas and one with salad, the pub was at about half capacity so not extraordinarily busy... our meals, well at least mine came out after about 50 minutes... my partners meal followed 10 minutes later after we asked for it by which time mine was almost cold!!! despite her having asked for salad on her meal not peas her meal arrived with peas... we had also ordered a side of onion rings which were not brought out... the staff instead brought out a side salad which we did not order... the onion rings arrived after asking for them by which time we had almost finished our meals... we asked for the meat on both mixed grills to be well done however my lamb chop was underdone but i don't mind that... My partners lamb chop she said she could see wasn't going to be cooked so left it till last... when she cut into it there was blood that oozed onto the plate, had she cut into this at the start of her meal she would not have eaten any of it... both waiting staff apologised several times for the multiple issues we had but the only thing they offered was a box for us to take the RAW meat home for our dog... do not think we will be going back which is a shame as this is a pub we often take parents to for a meal... not any more

Had a beautiful meal here service was lovely and very welcoming land lady even took time out of her busy day to sit with us for a chat. We had beef baguette with fried onions and horseradish chips and salad plenty of food on the plate very reasonable prices and the beef melted in my mouth. The beef was that good we will be booking for Sunday roast as all I can imagine is it being delicious.

Great freshly made home cooking. Staff were very friendly, and food and beverage prices were real value for money. The pub kindly allowed me and a friend with 2 campervans to stay overnight on their car park with no charge. I will definitely come back if in the area. Highly recommend this pub. Parking: Large carpark.

Nice little independent pub. The staff were very friendly and the food was great, and the prices were very reasonable. Six of us went in total; I had the triple chicken, which was cooked all the way through but still juicy. Meals were home made, rather than the microwaved stuff you find at many pubs nowadays. Definitely worth a visit.

Came here many years ago and my daughter vomited, putting us off here. Today I enjoyed an Enville ale for £3.30. Pleasant staff and impressive environment. I was told that the food was home cooked. Look forward to returning and sampling home cooked meals. Plenty of space inside and outside with large car park
